🌟 Meet the Live4Life Glenelg Crew for 2026! 🌟

Last week, 56 new and returning crew members from Casterton, Heywood and Portland came together at Portland Civic Hall for the 2026 Live4Life Glenelg Crew Induction Day.

The full-day induction gave students the chance to connect, learn about the year ahead, and start shaping the impact they’ll make as youth mental health advocates in their schools and communities.

This year’s theme, chosen by the students themselves, sets a powerful and positive tone for 2026:
“Different isn’t wrong when everyone belongs.”

We’re also incredibly grateful to Portland Aluminium, who have recommitted to providing support for the Live4Life Glenelg program for the next three years. 🙌

A huge welcome to the 2026 Crew, we can’t wait to see the ideas, conversations and change you bring to your schools and community this year. 💙

Our second Battle of the Jams is officially done and dusted and what a night it was! 🎶✨

With 11 incredible acts from, Grace Rosalee, Ameliah Hulonce, Matilda Andrews, Zoe Borthwick, Bonnie Jackson, Kale Peggie, Gabriel Strachan, Concrete, Jack Caithness, Celyne, and Jasi Sierra, the talent displayed on the Hooked On Portland stage was truly inspiring and an unforgettable celebration of music and creativity.

Huge congratulations to our winners:
Jasi Sierra – 3rd place
Bonnie Jackson – 2nd place
Zoe Borthwick – taking out 1st place with her kind, bubbly stage presence, expressive vocals, and original songs that showcased her musical talent! 👏

The night also celebrated 14 amazing artists in our Art Showcase, sharing their work on a digital screen and highlighting the many creative ways self-expression can be celebrated. Be sure to check out their pieces via the QR code.

Proudly funded by Amplify, Battle of the Jams gives young people the stage to express different musical perspectives, showcase their talent and voice, and drive Glenelg’s local live music scene forward. 🎶

🙌Big shoutout to Clayton Osborne for being a wonderful MC alongside Les, introducing acts and sharing your witty personality with our crowd. Thanks also to Tyler, Michelle and Andy for stepping up to the judging challenge. What a special night - bring on the next one!
