Happening now! Come along to the Portland Arts Centre - we are open until 12:30 today and Carmel Wallace is here to chat to you about her current exhibition - Full Fathom Five! Explore the story of the SS Admella, wrecked in 1859, find out how the brave crew of the Portland Lifeboat rescued most of the survivors from the wreck after they spent eight harrowing days on rocks in the ocean. Carmel's works explore the wrecking of the vessel, the dramatic rescue of survivors and their care once they were brought to shore again in Portland. The exhibition includes footage of the Southern Ocean shot by Peter Corbett and accompanying music composed by Michael Wallace.

This Sunday 19th April, Carmel Wallace will be at the Portland Arts Centre, ready to answer questions and chat about the process of creating the body of works that make up ๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ช๐ท๐ฆ!
๐๐ถ๐ญ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ต๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐๐ช๐ท๐ฆ: ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ฌ๐ด ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ต๐ฉ๐ฆ ๐๐ช๐ง๐ฆ ๐๐ข๐ค๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ต ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ค๐ต explores the tragic story of the wrecking of ๐๐ ๐๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ฆ๐ญ๐ญ๐ข in 1859, alongside the role that the crew of the ๐๐ฐ๐ณ๐ต๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ฅ ๐๐ช๐ง๐ฆ๐ฃ๐ฐ๐ข๐ต played in rescuing survivors.
