Portland Pool

Portland Pool Portland & District Pool is one of only a few COMMUNITY owned pools in Australia. It is a seasonal pool. The Portland Pool Committee

Please check through messenger for the commencement and completion of opening times each year as these vary from year to year. This pool is run by a committee of people who maintain and look after this facility voluntarily in their spare time. This facility was built many years ago by the community of Portland to reduce the instances of children swimming in the quarries. We rely on people coming t

o our pool to keep this facility running. We are thankful to all local organisations who make donations, locals who support our raffles and to the Lithgow Council for the support that has been given in the past. So, please spread the word about our wonderful facility so that we can keep it running, now and into the future.

*Please remember that we are not owned by Lithgow Council but by the Community of Portland and District.

The pool will not open today due to the weather and the committee has made the decision to close the pool for the season.
We would like to thank all our patrons, our lifeguards and staff for your support this season.
I would also like to thank all our volunteers that help to keep the pool open and operating for your enjoyment.

We’re still riding the high — what a day it was! Huge thanks to everyone who came out, grabbed a snag, and soaked up the good times with us.

We’re stoked to share that the sausage sizzle fundraiser raised $600 for the Portland Pool 🙌
