Congratulations to our latest members who passed the Land Based Flood Rescue course in Penrith today.

This tough course provides our volunteers with the skills and confidence to rescue people from the land, as well as defensive swimming and self rescue from the water.

This course is already physically demanding, not to mention undertaking it in the middle of winter 🥶

Fire Rescue Portland 423 are having a open day this Saturday pop down and say G'day to the team

It's getting closer! Our Open Day is coming up this Saturday, 9th May.

Activities on the day will include demonstrations, a free BBQ and giveaways for kids.

It will also be a good opportunity to meet our team, book a Home Fire Safety Visit / Smoke Alarm Replacement and learn how to be fire-safe.

We'll be there between 11am - 2pm

We're deeply saddened by the loss of two Marine Rescue NSW volunteers in the line of duty.

Every time volunteers answer a call, they accept real risk to help people they've never met.

Our thoughts are with their families, friends and crews, and with everyone aboard the vessel they were going to help.
