Book Week Project Wall
As part of Book Week, the children created a special Book Week Project Wall
to celebrate their love of books and reading. The display included each
child's name, the books they have read, and their personal connections to
the world around them. Children shared their favourite stories, characters
and ideas, and discussed how books can help us understand different people,
places, cultures and experiences.
This experience supported children to see themselves as confident readers
and communicators while recognising the important connections between
stories and their everyday lives.
Learning Outcome: This experience links to EYLF Outcome 2 - Children are
connected with and contribute to their world, as children explored how books
reflect people, communities and the wider world. It also supports Outcome 5
- Children are effective communicators, as children shared their ideas,
talked about books and represented their learning through the project wall.
