Blacktown Pound Pets Needing Homes NSW This page is run by VOLUNTEERS to raise awareness of pets in Blacktown Animal Holding Facility All dogs and cats sold from Blacktown AHF will now be desexed.

This page is run by VOLUNTEERS, who are actively working in the community to try to find homes for the impounded animals. We do not work for Blacktown AHF, only visit regularly to take pics and make notes to try to help these babies find homes...

To adopt please contact the AHF directly. To rescue you must be a rescue group or associated with a rescue group that takes animals from the AHF. If you

are interested in fostering one of these cats please visit the page or contact one of these rescue groups - the AHF does have its own foster care program. If you have any further questions regarding the above please call Blacktown Animal Holding Facility on 02 9839 6161. Remember time is of the essence for these pets, so contact the pound as soon as possible.....

Our cats need your help!

We can have up to 180 cats in our care at any given time, and right now we’re running low on enrichment toys that help keep them happy, active, and mentally stimulated while they wait for their forever homes.

We're especially in need of:
Ping pong balls
Cat wands
Spring toys

Every donation makes a difference. Help us enrich their lives while they’re in our care!

Donations can be dropped off or delivered to us at 20 Owen Street, Glendenning.

Opening hours:
Monday to Friday from 8:30am–4:30pm
Saturday to Sunday from 9:00am–1:00pm.

Am I your lost kitty?

I got lost and now I am at the pound. Cats Friends think I am such a pretty little princess, with my beautiful black and white markings but they are sad as my eyes look very sore and I look very thin :( ♥

If you know the owner, please let them know that their kitty is currently at the Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre. If not reclaimed after 7 days (or up to 14 days if chipped), check the Adopt section of the web site to see if they are available 🐾

I am Janie #2600574, female, 3-6 months old, found Doonside on 13 March 2026 and impound period finishes 19 March 2026 (if not chipped)
