Climate change is one of the defining issues of our time.
As all levels of government try to find ways to rapidly decarbonise and adapt to our changing climate, there is increasing recognition that the built environment, along with land use planning, is one of the significant, and relatively ‘easy’, opportunities to reduce emissions.
It is also a critically important component of our transition to a climate resilient future.
That's why we've joined forced with Planning Institute of Australia Planning Institute of Australia, Australian Institute of Landscape Architects - AILA and The Australian Institute of Architects for a joint statement calling on Victoria's new parliament to deliver the policy, regulation and incentives needed to drive climate responsive decisions in the planning system.
