Project 2025 Says We do NOT endorse Project 2025, Trump or the Heritage Foundation. We just want you to know the facts about their plan.

Learn the demystified and fully sourced truth about everything at stake in the 2024 presidential election.

Hi followers! Andrew Polino, creator of this group here.

Well, I sure as hell didn't want the information here to still be relevant in 2025. Much less did I want half of Project 2025 to already be enacted, but here we are.

It's going to be vitally important that we stay informed and aware of what's happening and we pass the truth along any way we can.

I'll be posting more updates on my own page, including Project 2025 related policy and updates on ICE, victims of Trump's regime, and all other relevant (and verified) information.

Follow me on my professional page (linked above) and let's keep the push for truth going. See you there!

PROJECT 2025 VS REPRODUCTIVE RIGHTS
..

You're probably well aware by now that Project 2025 spells doom for reproductive rights. You've heard over and over again that it will come after abortion, restrict access to contraceptives and IVF, report pregnant women to the government, etc.

Doomsday for women and bodily autonomy.

But maybe you've wondered: How exactly would it plan to do this? How could it do all this without Congress?

Let's dive into the specifics:

1. INTRO -

The doom-iest section for abortion and reproductive rights in Project 2025 is Chapter 14: The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The first red flag comes as Project 2025 says point blank that abortion is not healthcare and that HHS should pursue a "robust agenda" to protect life "from the moment of conception" [pic 1] This "from conception" view has been at the heart of state abortion bans and even state bills that have restricted IVF access.

Actually, the first red flag technically comes much earlier on. In the foreward, Heritage CEO Kevin Roberts says conservatives should "celebrate" the overturning of Roe v. Wade, "the greatest pro-family win in a generation". He also says that's "just the beginning" and calls on conservatives to push "as hard as possible" to ban abortion nationwide [pic 2].

So as we turn our attention back to Chapter 12 and specific policies, keep in mind the joyful zeal Roberts expresses here for killing abortion rights.

2. STIGMATIZING ABORTION -

Anyway, back to HHS.

If Project 2025 is enacted, get ready to hear a lot of government-sanctioned narratives that abortion is dangerous and harmful. That's what they want the CDC to do: fund studies that specifically say that abortion has far more complications and psychological risks than giving birth [pic 3]. They also want to do this with abortion medication: use government resources to advance a narrative that the pills have widespread adverse effects.

In addition to restricting abortion access, a lot of policies here are devoted to stigmatizing abortion, thus making doctors less willing to provide it, even in life-threatening situations.

3. REPORTING YOUR ABORTION TO THE GOVERNMENT -

Speaking of stigmatization, let's talk about that abortion data Project 2025 wants.

It says all states should provide data on every abortion performed, or else the HHS will cut their Medicaid. Data should include gestational age of the fetus, how & why the abortion was done, and the mother's home state [pic 4].

It even says why it needs this info: to discourage what it calls "abortion tourism"(!!), which is their term for when a woman crosses state lines to get an abortion.

They'd use this database to tell women & doctors that the government is watching and ready to prosecute them. And if a woman violated state law to get an abortion in another state, the government would hand this data over to ensure the woman and the doctor could be criminally charged.

And yes, if you had an ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth, miscarriage, or lost the fetus due to complications from chemotherapy or other procedures, the doctors would have to clearly separate your info from women having a deliberate abortion, but you'd be in the system none the less.

4. RESTRICTING ABORTION MEDICATION -

Next on the chopping block: abortion medication. If the government can't ban it, they can make it harder to access by the following methods [pics 5-6]:

- Have the FDA rescind its approval of mifepristone.

- Reinstate old safety protocols for Mifeprex that make it harder to get.

- Advance the narrative that the pills have widespread adverse effects.

- Threaten pill manufacturers with investigations.

- Use the Comstock Act to make it a crime to mail the pills across state lines.

5. MAKING ABORTION UNAFFORDABLE -

Pgs 471-73 of Project 2025 [pics 7-9] contain a series of changes that would make abortion out of reach for poorer people.

- Making sure federal funds can't be used for traveling across state lines for an abortion.

- Blocking Medicaid funds for Planned Parenthood and for any states that require health insurance to cover abortion.

- Rewriting Affordable Care Act rules and auditing insurance providers to ensure no ACA plans are covering abortion or related services.

But perhaps the most alarming changes are the ones that target the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act.

Under the Biden administration, HHS issued a guidance saying that hospitals that received federal funding could perform abortions in cases where the mother's life was in danger and the procedure was an emergency necessity.

Project 2025 wants to eliminate that guidance so that hospitals can refuse to perform abortions even in life-threatening cases. We have already heard horror stories throughout the U.S. of women who were denied emergency care. This would ensure it happens more often.

6. MAKING BIRTH CONTROL LESS ACCESSIBLE -

Project 2025's next target: birth control.

Specifically, its policies cut off insurance coverage or government-funded affordable access to contraception [pics 10-12]

Under these rule changes, your health insurance doesn't have to cover Plan B or even condoms!! If you're insured through your job, your employer no longer has to provide health plans that cover contraception. They can provide plans that don't include that coverage and claim 'religious grounds'.

Under Project 2025, birth control gets less accessible to poor people, including those who use HHS-funded family planning clinics under Title X.

It would, first of all, allow religious and right-wing health workers to participate in those clinics. So you may need access to contraception or a referral for an abortion, and a federal worker could simply refuse you on religious grounds [pic 13].

Or, they could pressure you with info about the importance of marriage and instead try to refer you to 'marriage resources' [pic 14].
..

In conclusion, if Project 2025 is enacted, it doesn't necessarily matter whether or not Congress bans abortion nationwide.

The president would be able to use the HHS to make access to abortion harder, contraception more expensive, and government workers far more intrusive regarding your reproductive decisions.

We close with the page that calls for HHS to be renamed to the "Department of Life" and to install a "pro-life task force" to promote anti-abortion policies nationwide [pic 15].

PROJECT 2025 AND TRUMP VS FREEDOM OF SPEECH
..

Hi everyone! This week we'll be talking about specific personal freedoms and how we can see Trump's plans to stomp on them by reading parts of Project 2025 and Agenda 47.

We start with the First Amendment. Free speech is a broad topic that covers a lot of ground, so we'll do our best to break it down.

Let's start with Project 2025's insistence that agencies like the FCC and the DOJ should answer to the president, be staffed by him, and operate specifically to enact his agenda. If you've been following us or other Project 2025 reporting, you know this as the "Schedule F" section: Trump fires all civil servants and replaces them with loyalists (pics 1-3).

Here's how he could then use those agencies to stifle free speech:

1. SOCIAL MEDIA -

Project 2025 calls on the FCC to enforce a limited interpretation of past court rulings protecting social media from legal liability over user-generated content.

Specifically, they want be able to criminally charge social media platforms for restricting and censoring user content (pics 4-5). This would let them penalize platforms that restrict hate speech and investigate harassment by claiming they're censoring users for their political viewpoints.

That is except for TikTok. Its ownership is not under U.S. jurisdiction, so it is outright banned (pic 6).

This severely limits social media from being able to moderate its content and increases your risk of getting doxxed, threatened, or otherwise retaliated against if you say something the trolls don't like.

Also, the spread of conspiracies, lies, disinfo campaigns and distorted or manipulated media would be all but unchecked, so the chances of more mass shootings, anti-vaxx-related deaths or disease outbreaks, or coordinated harassment campaigns would go up.

2. MEDIA -

And that's just social media. Notice that in Trump's Agenda 47, not only does he copy Project 2025's policies on social media censorship with Trump-ier language, but he also accuses the "depraved corporate news media" of "silencing the American people"...by calling out misinformation. (pics 7-8)

With full control of the FCC, Trump would be able to punish any network TV news station and its parent company for labeling something he says as untrue or really covering any news story he doesn't like. That's getting into press freedom, but like we said, "free speech" covers a lot of ground.

Also, take careful note of what Trump says in the "THIRD" part of his Agenda 47 plan (pic 9): that social media platforms should INCREASE censorship of content that's "child exploitation" and "promoting terrorism".

This all but gives the game away.

Whenever Trump or the far-right talk about 'child exploitation', they mean anything involving LGBTQ+ identity. Moms 4 Liberty fought to have books banned from schools by claiming it. LibsOfTikTok got teachers harassed, attacked or fired by accusing them of it. Project 2025 famously says media with transgenderism is po*******hy and should be banned and criminalized (pic 10).

As for 'terrorism', Trump has frequently labeled Palestinians, BLM, Antifa, and any other opposition to him (which he conveniently labels 'ANTIFA') as terrorists.

So when he talks about increasing censorship of unlawful content, he means he wants to pressure social media platforms to censor content and viewpoints that aren't his own.

3. RIGHT TO PROTEST -

Moving on, let's look at the Justice Department in a second Trump term.

Let's say you want to protest against Trump's cruel, inhumane policies. You have First Amendment rights, and you live in a blue state, so you should be safe to march, right?

Unfortunately, Trump, per his promise in Agenda 47, has deployed the National Guard to violently break up your protest or march, regardless of whether or not the police think you're a threat. (pic 11) Project 2025 proposes and justifies this policy. (pics 12-13)

And if you know your protest was nonviolent and lawful, and you don't think your city's prosecutor or judge would charge or convict you for exercising your rights, Trump will simply use the DOJ to criminally investigate your prosecutors and judges, perhaps even having them removed and replaced (13 again).

Project 2025 proposes using federal law to overrule your state and city prosecutors so the DOJ can bring federal criminal charges against you and seek the maximum penalty possible (pic 14).

IN CONCLUSION - Let these pages of Trump's policies and Project 2025's Mandate for Leadership serve as evidence that a right-wing president will use the might of the federal government to control the national narrative, to silence critics and fact-checkers on air and online, to ensure no agency can stop them from manipulating facts and social media, and to see that anyone who says something they're against is either censored or severely punished to the fullest extent of the law.
..

We'll turn our attention to other personal freedoms in the days ahead.

VIDEO: Project 2025 at the Democratic National Convention. Colorado Governor Jared Polis cites the "weird" and dangerous policies in Project 2025.

1. He says it could use the Comstock Act to "single-handedly ban abortion in all 50 states, even putting doctors in jail". Page 562 specifically calls for the DOJ to enforce the Comstock Act to ban the mailing of abortion pills across state lines. Specifically, this means the DOJ could bring federal charges against any doctor who sends a patient mifepristone by mail. Combine this with other pages in the Mandate (forcing the FDA to rescind its approval of abortion pills, defunding Planned Parenthood, blocking abortion from health care plans, having the HHS officially declare abortion is not health care, etc), and you have an orchrstrated effort to make abortion as inaccessible as possible.

2. The "limits" placed on contraception Polis refers to are specifically eliminating coverage for forms of contraception and emergency contraception under the ACA and allowing employers to refuse to provide plans that include abortion. This would disproportionately affect lower-income people from having easy, affordable access to it.

3. Page 450 does not specifically mention IVF access. However, it does call on HHS to operate and implement policies that center around the notion that life begins at conception, an argument that has been at the heart of state government efforts to restrict IVF access.

4. Page 455 does require doctors to report miscarriages to the federal government, but context is important: the page specifically says all states should be required to report every abortion performed and every fetal death. However, it says the data should make a clear distinction between whether it was a deliberately induced abortion versus whether it was a medical miscarriage, complication from a medical procedure (i.e. chemotherapy), or the result of a life-saving surgery.

Why is this distinction important? Because the Mandate also requires data about the patient: how far along the fetus was, what method the abortion was done by, for what reason, and the patient's home state.

They want clearly defined data so the government can specifically track and target people who cross state lines specifically for an abortion.

5. The Mandate more specifically says "families comprised of a married father, mother and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and a healthy society". It says HHS should get rid of any policies that aid single parents or LGBTQ+ couples and replace them with ones that support the traditional nuclear family.

It doesn't say the only legitimate family is one where only the father works, but it does declare working fathers "essential" to a child's well-being. It then demonizes homes where unmarried couples raise a child and suggests prioritizing programs that make married fathers essential to its programs and messaging and value the "rights of children to be raised by their biological parents".

VIDEO: The full video from the Democratic National Convention of Kenan Thompson breaking down Project 2025 and its impact on Americans.

The pages Kenan cites include:

1. A section directing the Department of Labor to end any programs or policies related to racial equity and, as he says, protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ Americans. The page Kenan cites specifically does this by narrowing the interpretation of a Supreme Court ruling so that federal rules against s*x discrimination don't include LGBTQ+ people. It tells agencies only to enforce protections against s*x discrimination by the "binary, biological definition" of s*x and to eliminate all rules and guidelines that prohibit discrimination against people for s*xual orientation or gender identity.

2. The section on Medicare and Medicaid reform that, specifically, calls for a total repeal of the Inflation Reduction Act, which includes Medicare price negotiations with drug manufacturers. Project 2025 aims to privatize this role and make Medicare Part D, the Medicare alternative contracted by private insurers, the default option for Medicare enrollees.

3. The section that specifically takes aim at abortion pills like mifepristone. Project 2025 aims to make them almost completely inaccessible by bringing the FDA under the president's control, making the FDA rescind its approval of mifepristone, have the government pursue a national narrative deploring the "adverse effects" of such pills, and as Kenan says, resurrecting the Comstock Act to make mailing them across state lines a crime.

4. While Keenan cites page 78, it's more accurately pages 78-82 that discuss cutting the number of federal jobs and reinstating an executive order that would allow the president to change the classification of civil servants to at-will employees, thus giving himself the power to fire them. Page 82 specifically cites the difficulties Trump had in getting his appointees approved by Congress to replace holdovers from past administrations. This section, which also suggests giving the president "total supervision over the bureaucracy" is what Kenan is referring to when he says they could be fired for "not being MAGA loyalists". Project 2025 is looking to streamline the process of staffing federal agencies so the president can dump everyone else out and replace them with people he knows will implement his policies.

PROJECT 2025 AND SOCIAL MEDIA
..

Project 2025 wants to change the rules so that right-wing lies and propaganda can spread unchecked, but other content could be censored. It would do this by eliminating legal protections for social media companies over user-generated material and block investigations over misinformation and disinfo campaigns.

It begins by calling for an end to the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) efforts to counter misinformation. It tries to delegitimize CISA's efforts by falsely claiming that Russia's 2016 misinfo campaigns "turned out to be a Clinton campaign dirty trick".

It also proposes to block the FBI from investigating disinformation.

It then discusses "reining in Big Tech" and its attempts to "drive diverse political viewpoints from the digital town square". It proposes using the FCC (which would be controlled by the right-wing president and staffed by his appointees) to not allow legal protection for social media companies that restrict user content and to impose restrictions on the platforms' current abilities to moderate content. It suggests reforms that ban platforms from discriminating against "core political viewpoints".

Combined, these policies leave the door wide open for hate speech and the spread of weaponized misinfo campaigns online while offering more legal recourse to people who claim they are being 'censored' by content moderators on social media.

Project 2025 also calls for a nationwide ban on TikTok.

PROJECT 2025 VS BIDEN/HARRIS
..

President Joe Biden and VP Kamala Harris announced 10 prescription drugs whose costs had been reduced in negotiations with Medicare. As an official part of the policy platform for her presidential campaign, Harris announced her intention to expand the $35 price cap on insulin (for all patients, not just seniors) and a cap on out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs.

By contrast, Project 2025 says government should not be able to control the pricing of insulin or other prescriptions, nor should it be allowed to "limit innovation" through Medicare or Medicaid "reimbursement schemes".

Another clear contrast in policies can be found on the subject of affordable housing.

Harris' proposed plan involves building 3 million new homes, tax incentives for builders constructing homes for first-time buyers, and up to $25K in down payment assistance.

Project 2025 proposes ending the government's current policies on housing affordability by reshaping HUD and increasing the insurance premiums for FHA home loans.

Finally, to address the affordability of food, Harris has proposed a federal ban on price gouging in food and meat companies.

Project 2025 meanwhile, proposes cuts to SNAP as well as work requirements and reduced eligibility for food stamps...

Many more contrasts are sure to emerge as Harris' platform comes increasingly into view.

PROJECT 2025 AND YOUR TAXES
..

Here's how Project 2025 would raise taxes on the middle class: It reduces our tax system to 2 brackets.

There are currently 7 federal tax brackets, where the percentage you pay each year in federal taxes depends on how much you earn annually [see image]

Project 2025 says the federal government should tax 15% for people earning below the social security wage base ($168.6K) and 30% for people earning more.

So people in the lower tax brackets (earners who pay 10-12% in taxes) get a tax increase. The higher earners (people in the 32-37% tax bracket) get a tax cut.

Higher federal taxes for earners on the lower end, tax cuts for earners on the higher end.

Notably, Project 2025 says the corporate tax rate should be cut from its current rate of 21 percent (cut from 35 percent by the 2017 Trump tax cuts) to 18. The mandate also proposes to cut taxes on capital gains, stock buybacks, and drug manufacturers.

It also proposes repealing green energy subsidies from the Inflation Reduction Act.

TRUMP AND PROJECT 2025
..

The Trump campaign recently told media reporters it would "not end well" if they kept suggesting that Project 2025 had anything to do with him or his campaign.

It's an oft-repeated talking point, both by him and his supporters: "Trump has nothing to do with it. He disavowed it. His plan is Agenda 47, not Project 2025."

We've opted not to take Trump's public statements at face value. Besides, he is on record crediting Project 2025's architects, the Heritage Foundation, with putting together his policies for a second term.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/video/politics/what-trump-has-said-about-project-2025-and-its-authors/2024/08/07/c5c7b044-76eb-4728-93b5-23f8c58af713_video.html

The staff behind Project 2025 includes over 100 people who worked closely with Trump during his administration.
https://www.cnn.com/2024/07/11/politics/trump-allies-project-2025/index.html

Both Trump and JD Vance have close ties with Heritage leader and Project 2025 creator Kevin Roberts.
https://newrepublic.com/article/184393/jd-vance-violent-foreword-kevin-roberts-project-2025-leader-book
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-kevin-roberts-flight-project-2025-b2593311.html

And beyond all of that, there's the sheer number of policies mentioned in Trump's Agenda 47 that are identical to Project 2025's proposals. Here are just a few:

1. They both propose that Trump give himself the power to fire non-partisan federal employees at will and replace them with people he appoints.

2. They both propose ending all federal regulations on emissions and accelerate approvals for oil drilling, coal extraction, gas pipelines, and other projects in order to "restore America's energy independence".

3. They both propose handing control of the DOJ to the president and using it to overrule and punish state prosecutors who won't prosecute the cases or impose the penalties the president's DOJ wants.

4. They both plan to deploy "federal assets" like the National Guard to conduct domestic law enforcement.

5. They both propose purging all references to DEI and CRT from schools and federal institutions and having the DOJ pursue civil rights lawsuits against institutions with DEI initiatives.

6. They both suggest a "Parental Bill of Rights" that requires schools to inform parents if their kid is LGBTQ and gives them the right to sue the schools if they have a problem with what's being taught.

7. They both equate transgenderism with p**n and child abuse.

8. They both plan to shut down the Department of Education and use a state voucher program to give federal funds to private and religious schools.

These are just a few of the things Trump's Agenda 47 and Project 2025 have in common. The only difference is in language and specifics.

PROJECT 2025 on MEDICARE and MEDICAID:..Project 2025's Mandate for Leadership calls Medicare and Medicaid "the principal...
08/08/2024

PROJECT 2025 on MEDICARE and MEDICAID:
..

Project 2025's Mandate for Leadership calls Medicare and Medicaid "the principal drivers" of the nation's deficit (pg. 283, the same page where it villainizes the CDC and NIH over COVID safety measures).

The Mandate says that the federal government should not be allowed to control the costs of prescription drugs or limit the abilities of healthcare providers to "innovate" through Medicare and Medicaid "reimbursement schemes" [page 450].

Page 462 is where the Mandate begins getting into the weeds. It begins with vague platitudes about promoting "patient choice" and "control". Ultimately, it recommends easing reimbursement restrictions on private practitioners and specialty clinics. It also proposes major boosts to Medicare Advantage and making it the default enrollment option.

Medicare Advantage is essentially a for-profit Medicare bundle. It is owned by private health insurance providers who have federal government contracts. Notably, it is more like employer-provided health insurance than Medicare is: it has in-network and out-of-network providers, and it can approve or deny coverage for certain services.

Page 466 is where Project 2025 gets into Medicaid. This is a long section that begins with calling Medicaid a "cumbersome burden on every state".

First, the Mandate suggests paying for Medicaid with block grants. In other words, the federal government gives a set amount to states, instead of covering percentages of state costs. This would amount to less federal funding for state Medicaid. It would not be enough to keep up with enrollments and would justify future cuts.

The Mandate also suggests caps on Medicaid benefits in order to "disincentivize permanent dependence" on them (p. 468). It also proposes adding work requirements and other "robust" requirements that would limit eligibility and would lead to multiple recipients losing benefits.

Project 2025 also proposes repealing many of the regulations from the Affordable Care Act on private health insurers. These regulations were put in place to protect consumers from unfair practices and overpricing by insurance providers and hospitals. [page 469-470]

The next section details the many ways the federal government would ensure that no Medicaid or Medicare funds could go toward Planned Parenthood, any type of abortion related care or gender affirming care. It proposes allowing Medicare-funded hospitals to turn away emergency abortion patients. It urges the government to report on fetuses that survive an abortion and doctors who leave the aborted fetus to die. [page 471-475]

It also says no hospital receiving federal funds should have to enforce COVID vaccine and/or mask requirements.

PROJECT 2025 AT SCHOOL
..

Project 2025 calls the Department of Education a "one stop shop for the woke education cartel".

It says schools should be run by parents, not by educational standards.

It says the Department of Education should be shut down completely with all control and funding for public schools turned over to state governments.

It also calls for the elimination of Head Start and the scaling down of other federal assistance for students from low-income families.

It calls for an end to student loan forgiveness efforts and for federal student loans to be privatized

It calls to ban any reference to or discussion of systemic racism or gender identity in public schools.

It rolls back any and all guidelines and anti-discrimination protections for LGBTQ students

It requires schools to out LGBTQ+ students to their parents and gives parents the right to sue schools for any mention of "race or gender theory".

It bans students from going by any name or pronoun other than what they were assigned at birth. It also calls on the government to advance gender-critical studies and ban transgender students from participating in school sports.

It equates transgender issues with po*******hy and child abuse and calls for any teacher or librarian who provides books with these subjects to be punished.

It requires all public secondary school students to take the military entrance exams.

It bans college administrators from adopting Diversity, Equity and Inclusion framework and makes it easier for Christian universities to be accredited.

It says all colleges that maintain affirmative action or DEI policies will be prosecuted by the DOJ.
