Young motherhood can come with plenty of assumptions and stereotypes, but we see every day the courage, strength and determination of young mums.

We loved this beautiful short film, Reimagining Young Parenthood, created alongside young parents through the Young Mothers Transition Program.

At First Steps, we feel so privileged to support young mums as they navigate motherhood, pursue their goals and build a future for themselves and their children.

We’re so grateful to organisations like South East LLEN and the Australian Young Pregnant & Parenting Network for advocating for young parents and sharing their stories.

THANK YOU! We are feeling incredibly grateful for the generosity of our community 🩷

Following our recent call-out for nappies, wipes, meals and other essentials, we have been overwhelmed by the response. Over the past few days, we’ve received generous deliveries of home-cooked meals, hampers, groceries, nappies and wipes, as well as financial gifts specifically to help us restock.

A huge thank you to KIN ELC, IN Church and Christ Church Tuggeranong, and to the many individuals, families and others who have given so generously.

Your kindness has made such a difference and helps us continue supporting local mums and families when they need it most. We are so thankful to have such a generous community around us 🥹🩷
