Maritime and Waterways Operations

Dear Queenscliff Stakeholders,

We’re pleased to advise that the works to stabilise the bank on the north-west corner of the Queenscliff Creek are now complete, meeting our forecasted timeline.

Over the past few months, waterway users have seen the removal of the timber and concrete retaining walls and their replacement with a new rock revetment.

Thank you to our lead contractor, Elstone Diving Services, in navigating the site access limitations by transporting equipment and materials by barge across Queenscliff Creek and achieving pinpoint accuracy in the placement of the rock using an excavator with Global Positioning System technology. The outcome is fantastic and well-received by many visitors and locals in the area.

Additionally, the project site has been remediated, with an improved car park surface at the Queenscliff Cruising Yacht Club and upgrades on the beach track and causeway.

We thank you for your patience and understanding throughout the delivery of this project.

Kind regards,
Trevor Graham
