This morning we were part of a multi agency response to a structure fire at the Tuncurry Waste Management Facility.
We assisted with water supply and the decontamination of structural firefighters.
A great effort from everyone involved.🌈

A busy couple of days providing water for the Endurance (horse) Ride in Hillville.
About 80 horses and riders competed over 2 days in the Kiwarrak State Forest.
We were able to supply all the horses' water needs both on the track and at base camp.
Our members learnt a thing or two about Endurance riding, horse welfare and enjoyed the experience being around these wonderful animals.

Congratulations to two of our members who have successfully completed course assessments.
We welcome Arkhea onto our response crew after she recently completed her Firefighter Course.
Jed has upskilled and completed his Village Firefighter assessment.
We thank them for their commitment to our Brigade and the community. 🌈

'Hazardous Trees' was this morning's training topic.
An informative video was followed by lots of photographic examples then the all important practical application in the surrounding forest.

Last night at our monthly general meeting the Brigade had the pleasure of presenting two of our members with their new RFS qualifications.
We now have an additional Crew Leader and Chainsaw Operator.
Congratulations to both our members who put in a lot of time and effort to achieve their goals.
We thank them for their commitment to our Brigade and the community. 🌈

What a fantastic way to unwind and relax after a busy fire season!!
Lunch and Barefoot Bowls for Rainbow Flat members, family, friends and a few Diamond Beach members.
Obviously bowling fire hoses and bowling bowls is very different but heaps of fun.
Lots of laughs and some great stories.
Thanks to Mark and Lisa for organising our social events. 🌈

Last night our Brigade had its AGM.
All positions were filled by our amazing members sharing the workload across the Brigade and supporting our community.
It was rewarding to see so many attend the AGM and keen to give of their time.
Group Captain Silas Sutherland presented three of our members with the NSW Premier's Emergency Flood Citation for their work on the Lismore Flood Response 2022-2023.
Congratulations everyone, looking forward to a positive year working together.
