Today we farewell a truly great man, a kind and generous man, full of character, community spirit, resilience and an enormous love for his beautiful family.

Today is not only a time to say goodbye, but a time to celebrate a life so well lived. A proud veteran, a lover of music, a wonderful storyteller and someone whose kindness, generosity and presence left their mark on so many.

His stories, humour, strength and memories are now part of the fabric of our community. We will continue to share them, keep them alive and make sure the generations that follow know the stories of a remarkable man and the life he lived.

Today we celebrate him, his resilience, his music, his service, his kindness, his generosity, his family and the many lives he touched.

Rest peacefully. Your stories will live on. ❤️

A huge thank you to the Mallee Mower Racing Club for their incredibly generous donation to Rapid Bay Primary School.

We are also so grateful for the opportunity to run a stall at both Fleurieu events, helping our school raise vital funds for our students and programs.

Most of all, it was an incredibly fun event for our school community. Our students loved having the chance to race, cheer each other on and create some very special memories.

Thank you for your ongoing generosity, support and commitment to our community. It makes a real difference to our school. 💙

Mallee Mower Racing Club would like to say a massive thank you to Yankalilla CFS, Liquid Delights, Two Fat Blokes Pizza and Rapid Bay Primary School for coming along and supporting our Mow the Coast race at Carrickalinga! 🚜💨

A huge thank you also goes to all of our officials, flaggies and helpers who gave up their time to help keep the day running smoothly. We couldn’t hold these events without you! ❤️

And a very special thank you to Craig Haywood for the countless hours spent preparing the track in the lead-up to race day, as well as the continued track work throughout the day to keep us racing. Your hard work and dedication is hugely appreciated! 👏🚜

Reservoirs for Nature connects people with nature, restores habitats, boosts biodiversity and offsets carbon.

The activity will include a guided walk and plantings in the area near the carpark.

To wear:

long sleeves
long pants
sturdy, enclosed shoes
gardening gloves will be provided at the event, however if you prefer to use your own, please bring them with you
Please bring:

a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen
your own water bottle (a drinking fountain is available on-site to refill your bottle)
your own food for morning tea
Car parking:

plenty of car parking is available in the main car park accessible via Eatts Street
Other:

toilets are available at the car park

🇮🇩 Selamat Hari Kemerdekaan Indonesia! 🇮🇩

What a wonderful day celebrating Indonesian Independence Day at Rapid Bay!

Carmel organised a very special day filled with food, culture, creativity and lots of hands-on learning. Our students cooked nasi goreng (fried rice), dadar gulung (green pancakes filled with coconut and palm sugar) and enjoyed colourful soda gembira.

In the afternoon, our Yarta students proudly shared their “Binatang Apa?” books with the younger students in Kauwi before buddying up to decorate their own kuda lumping.

We love seeing our students learning about another culture by cooking, creating, sharing and learning alongside one another.

A huge thank you to Carmel for putting together such a memorable celebration for our students. ❤️🤍🇮🇩

We are the luckiest school around to have the most incredible SSOs! 🌟

Support Staff Week gives us the opportunity to celebrate and say thank you, but our appreciation extends far beyond this one week.

Our SSOs are the reassuring voices, the patient explanations, the calm listening ears and the people who notice when someone needs a little extra support. They help our children learn, feel safe, belong and keep trying, while also doing countless things behind the scenes to keep our school running.

So much of their work may happen quietly, but the difference they make is enormous.

Thank you for everything you do for our students, staff, families and school community. Rapid Bay would not be Rapid Bay without you. 💛⭐
