Weโ€™re excited to share two opportunities for young people in our region through ABC Heywire.

โœจ๐‡๐ž๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ข๐ซ๐ž is seeking true stories from young people aged 16โ€“22 living in regional, rural and remote Australia.

โœจ๐“๐ซ๐š๐ข๐ฅ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐ณ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌis looking for young leaders aged 18โ€“28 who are running community impact projects. Individuals and groups of up to three can apply.

Both opportunities offer mentoring, national ABC exposure and an all expenses paid trip to Canberra for the Heywire Regional Youth Summit.

On Wednesday 27th May, children from around the nation gathered to listen to the 2026 ๐๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐’๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ๐š๐ง๐ž๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐’๐ญ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ๐ญ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž! Weโ€™re proud to say Ravensthorpe CRC was no exception! ๐Ÿ“–

The chosen book "Luna Roo the Kangaroo Baller" was an empowering story which encouraged children to strive and not give up in the face of adversity.

It was special to have our local kids watch the book's authors, Adam Jackson and Adrian Lloyd, read out the book along with the rest of Australia.

After storytime, children took part in Luna Roo themed activities, including colouring and making masks, accompanied by morning tea for all.

The Ravy CRC is planning to hold a short series of five intensive, adult Spanish Classes, to be delivered on Saturdays over June/July. We're currently seeking ๐„๐ฑ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ from community members to help us determine the perfect dates and times for classes. ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ธ
