On Sunday Reefton Fire station hosted members of many different brigades to complete a Class A foam course. It was great to see our station bring used for CFA District 13 training. Congratulations to all participants. Hope you enjoyed your day at Reefton 😊

Please read about this new emergency warning system. The Aus Alert system will be tested nationally in July.

A new national warning system called AusAlert will be used across Australia from October 2026.

AusAlert will be able to send warning messages to your mobile device as push notifications during:
• Natural hazards such as bushfires, floods, and tsunamis
• Public health emergencies
• Biosecurity incidents
• Security threats

Before the system is introduced, it will be tested.

In Victoria, a local test will happen in the Geelong suburbs of Highton and Belmont on Thursday 18 June at 2 pm, followed by a national test on Monday 27 July at 2 pm.

More about the tests and rollout of AusAlert will be shared on the VicEmergency page in the coming weeks.

🔥 Fire up for a good cause! 🔥

Join us at the Pavers Plus Community BBQ & Raffle Day tomorrow from 11am–2pm at Pavers Plus, 389 Maroondah Hwy, Ringwood.

There’ll be live cooking with MasterChef’s Lachlan Whittle, raffles, tastings, great food and plenty of community spirit, all in support of Wandin CFA 🚒

All proceeds from the raffle will be donated to Wandin CFA, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support from Pavers Plus and everyone involved in making the day happen.
