Cooking Up Success 🍪✨

Today, K6 Trust, K6 Respect, and K6 Kind kicked off their cooking lessons with great enthusiasm! Our young chefs practiced essential skills such as reading carefully, following step-by-step instructions, and executing the recipe with teamwork and care. Their hard work and collaboration paid off beautifully, as they enjoyed delicious Anzac biscuits made from scratch. A big well done to all the students for demonstrating Trust, Respect, and Kindness both in and out of the kitchen! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Yesterday, some of our students from K/6 Respect and K/6 Kind represented our school at the Bankstown Schools Boccia Competition. We won all of our games and progressed to the finals, where we finished in second place.
It was a fantastic day filled with fun, teamwork, and excellent sportsmanship. Congratulations to our team—we are incredibly proud of the way you represented Revesby today!
Thank you to Mrs Montague and Ms Gordana for all their organisation and student support at Boccia.

P&C Meeting
It was wonderful to meet with our P&C members today and continue working in partnership to achieve the very best outcomes for our students. The strong collaboration between our school and families is one of our greatest strengths, and we greatly value the opportunity to share our work and gather parent perspectives.

During the meeting, we reviewed our School Excellence Plan and discussed the strategic directions that are guiding our school improvement journey. We also spent time exploring the recent curriculum reforms and considered ways we can continue to support families in understanding these changes and how they impact student learning.

Parents were provided with an overview of the High Potential and Gifted Education (HPGE) opportunities available across the school, highlighting the range of programs, experiences, and learning pathways designed to challenge and engage students. We also discussed our approach to explicit teaching and what this looks like in classrooms each day, including the importance of clear learning intentions, success criteria, and structured teaching practices that support student achievement.

One of the highlights of the discussion was hearing the positive feedback from parents about their children coming home and enthusiastically talking about their learning. It was encouraging to hear that students are making strong connections with their classroom experiences and are eager to share their successes and new knowledge with their families.
We also explored ways to further strengthen our home-school partnerships, recognising that when schools and families work together, students benefit both academically and socially. The ideas and feedback shared by our parent community will help inform future opportunities for engagement and collaboration.

I sincerely thank all of the parents who generously gave their time this morning to attend, contribute to discussions, and work alongside us in creating the best possible school for our children. Your support, insights, and commitment to our school community are deeply appreciated.

A special thank you to Mrs Tsamoulos and Miss Elks for joining me and sharing valuable information about our school directions, initiatives, and future plans. Their expertise and passion for student learning greatly enriched the discussion.
We look forward to continuing this important partnership throughout the year.
