Wear a splash of purple tomorrow! “Courage is not just expressed in big moments, but in everyday choices to live proudly and invite others into understanding, acceptance and celebration.”
Wear It Purple Day 2026 - Colours of Courage.
Colours of Courage celebrates the many different forms of courage shown by LGBTQIA+SB young people, allies and communities every day.
The colours in this year’s theme reflect the diversity of identities, experiences and stories within our communities.

Richmond High School supported by The Department of Education recognises Wear It Purple Day and supports all le***an, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, q***r, questioning, asexual, sistergirls and brotherboys (LGBTIQA+SB) young people in our schools and the community.

⛺️ YEAR 8 CAMP ⛺️ On Year 8 camp adventures included lots of camp activities, like hut building, leap of faith and milk crate stacking. Though I think the kids enjoyed the cheeseburger bar more.

Lots of walking and exploring the beautiful national park and we found ourselves enjoying the space with a few kangaroos.

🎶 Our Year 9 Enhanced Chinese students headed to Box Hill for a traditional Chinese music excursion! 🇨🇳

They had a fantastic time learning about traditional music, trying out instruments and, most importantly, making lots of noise! 😂🎵

A fun and memorable day of learning outside the classroom!

At RHS the 2026 National Science Week theme is Seeds of Science: Nurturing Knowledge for All. This year’s theme invites students to think about how ideas begin, how they are tested, and how they grow when shared. It reminds us that scientific understanding does not appear fully formed. It starts small – like a seed – and depends on the right conditions: curiosity, evidence, collaboration and time. Science is a critical field that helps both children and adults develop key critical thinking skills and make sense of the world around them. We at RHS will be taking time to engage in a range of activities throughout the week including: researching and presenting a scientific topic of interest, seeding crystals and looking at their structure under a microscope, exploring a virtual tour of the international seed bank, and will close out the week by planting seeds in our balcony planter boxes. A big thank you to Melinda, Sophia, Emma and Marly for creating the beautiful posters you’ll see around the school!

Richmond High School is extremely proud to present - Midnight: The Cinderella Musical!

Midnight: The Cinderella Musical is a contemporary Australian retelling of the classic fairy tale. It features a strong-willed, funny, and independent heroine named Ella who does not want or need a Prince Charming. Instead of just a romance, the story focuses on Ella inspiring the Prince to reform the kingdom before the clock strikes midnight.

We invite friends, families and the extended RHS community to join us for three spell bounding shows off amazing talent and fantastic storytelling.

There will be three shows available to purchase tickets for:

Tuesday 8th September - 7pm
Wednesday 9th September - 7pm
Thursday 10th September - 7pm

The show will take place at St Martins Youth Arts Centre.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Fun first day of camp - treetop climbing, tube sliding and that’s before we even got to camp. Once we arrived we got straight into activities including the giant swing, sport activities and the vertical challenge. Comfy cabins await the students after a long night walk - with the teachers hoping all this activity makes the students tired enough to sleep early!

We all cannot wait for the next few days of camp!
