Today we’d like to give a special shoutout to the amazing mothers within our brigade who not only serve and protect our community but also juggle the important role of being a mum. Your dedication, strength and commitment do not go unnoticed.

We also want to acknowledge the mums who support our brigade behind the scenes whether it’s holding down the fort at home, offering encouragement or being there when we’re called away.

Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with appreciation and love ❤️

🔥 Planned Burns in the Area 🔥

Forest Fire Management Victoria are conducting a number of planned burns around our district, so you may notice smoke in the air over the coming days.

These burns are important for reducing fuel loads and helping keep our community safe.

To stay up to date with conditions and any emergency information, we strongly encourage everyone to download the VicEmergency app and set your watch zones.

If you do see flames or a clearly defined column of smoke, please don’t assume it’s part of a planned burn — call 000 immediately.

Stay safe and stay informed.

Today, on ANZAC Day, we pause as a community to remember and honour the bravery, sacrifice and mateship of the ANZACs, and all who have served our country.

Their legacy continues to shape who we are, reminding us of the importance of courage, resilience, and looking out for one another.

At Riddells Creek Fire Brigade, we’re proud to stand together in that same spirit of service and community every day.

Today we remember.
Today we honour.

A friendly reminder for those joining us tomorrow morning — please make sure you have something to eat and drink before arriving at the ANZAC Day Dawn Service.

It’s an early start, so having something beforehand will help maintain your blood sugar levels and keep you comfortable as we come together to remember and reflect.

We look forward to seeing you there.

As the weather starts to cool down, it’s a good time to think about your fireplace safety.

Over time, chimneys can develop a build-up of creosote - a black, tar-like residue that is highly flammable and can also clog your chimney. Creosote doesn’t just come from regular use, it can build up much faster if you’re burning fuels like green wood or treated timbers.

To reduce the risk of chimney fires, make sure your chimney and flue are cleaned at least once a year.

A little maintenance now can help keep your home safer this winter 🔥

A fantastic team effort yesterday by members of the Riddells Creek Fire Brigade and the Riddells Creek Lions Club, coming together to set up the ANZAC memorial display.

It’s always a privilege to work alongside other local groups to honour and remember those who have served. A big thank you to everyone involved for their time, effort, and community spirit.

We look forward to seeing the community come together on Saturday morning.

A huge thank you to our incredible Riddells Creek community for your generosity and support during this year’s Good Friday Appeal ❤️

Our volunteers had a fantastic day at the Riddells Creek Nursery, where we raised an amazing $3,022.45. Across the entire Riddells Creek township, a remarkable $15,311.87 was donated — an outstanding effort by our local community.

Thanks to communities like ours, the CFA has helped raise over $2,150,000 for the Good Friday Appeal this year.

We are so proud to be part of such a giving and community-minded town. Your support truly makes a difference. Thank you 🙏
