A busy start to the morning already for Rockbank Fire Brigade.

This morning we have been called out to a Smoke Alarm Operating in Aintree which was a false alarm.

One our way back to station, we were then called to support Bacchus Marsh CFA at a House Fire in Long Forest.
We were called upon to provide water and were able to head back to Rockbank once the fire was under control.

This evening, Rockbank Fire Brigade was called to a vehicle accident in Aintree.

We attended and found a traffic light had been bought down. Crews made the scene safe and were on scene until the car was towed.

A busy night for Rockbank Fire Brigade volunteers last night.

We attended the Fight MND Fundraiser at Aintree Football Club until 7:30pm.

At around 10pm, we were called to a vehicle accident on the Western Fwy in Rockbank.
The brigade as well as P56 & R56 made the scene safe.
Luckily no one was seriously injured.

Then at 2:45am, we were called to a vehicle that collided with a house in Caroline Springs.
Luckily the damage was not severe and we were able to quickly head back to Rockbank.

This evening, Rockbank Fire Brigade attended a Fight MND Fundraiser at Aintree Football Club.

Plenty of people were dunked under the ice cold water.

We also showed the kids over our truck and they got to use the fire hose.

A great cause.

At around 6:50 this morning, Rockbank Fire Brigade was called to assist Diggers Rest Fire Brigade-CFA with a truck fire on the Calder Fwy in Digger Rest.

Our crews were on scene to provide water and were able to head home after a short time.

National Volunteer Week is a chance to recognise the incredible people who make our brigade what it is. To all the volunteers at Rockbank Fire Brigade, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and ongoing support of our community.

From responding to emergencies and attending training, to supporting local events, fundraising, fire safety education, and everything in between, our volunteers give so much of their time to help others. Your commitment and teamwork are what keep our brigade strong.

National Volunteer Week runs from May 18–24, and this year’s theme is “Your Year to Volunteer.”
