⛈️ STORM WARNING – DON'T GET CAUGHT OUT ⛈️
We know it's easy to become complacent when storm warnings seem to be everywhere. However, this weather system has the potential to bring damaging to locally destructive winds, heavy rainfall, flash flooding, dangerous surf and possible road closures, including across the Perth metropolitan area.
Current forecasts indicate the system will begin crossing the coast from Saturday evening, affecting the Perth metropolitan area and the South West, with multiple fronts and periods of severe weather expected to continue through Sunday and into Monday.
⚠️ PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY ⚠️
One of the biggest causes of storm damage is unsecured outdoor items. A trampoline, outdoor chair or loose object can quickly become a dangerous projectile in strong winds.
✅ Tie down or put away trampolines, outdoor furniture and loose items
✅ Clear gutters and downpipes
✅ Check your emergency kit (torch, batteries, radio and first aid kit)
✅ Fuel your vehicle and charge your devices
✅ Secure boats and marine equipment
