Congratulations to our winners and to all of our nominees of both the Christine Cox Trailblazer Award & Sue Marstaeller OAM Education Influencer Award. It was wonderful to be able to recognise everyone nominated today. Well done to our 2 winners - Rachel Vickery & Nick Maxwell both of Gisborne SC. You should all be so proud of the work you do in our local community. Thank you.

The theme for this year’s National Sorry Day is 'From Sorry to Action'. The call is clear, we must move from words to action, and this needs to happen now, not in another decade.

Acknowledging past harm is important, but acting to address it is critical. Sorry signals compassion; action delivers justice.

We encourage you to mark National Sorry Day on 26 May, and to stand with us to ensure this day is part of an ongoing commitment to truth-telling and healing.

You can read Omnia Community Health's full statement about National Sorry day below.

Thank you Racing Victoria for hosting a group of local students at the Seymour Races today. Our students got a full tour of all of the activities that happen across a race day. It was a terrific insight into Vet Services, horse stalls, stewards & clerk of scales. The group then watched a race, visited the race caller & judge, meet a jockey & trainer. Got to view the mounting yard with a chance to be at the start line & chat with clerk of course. It was such an insightful tour. Racing Victoria are also offering work experience and SWL, please reach out to our office to find out more. Thank you to our team members Carol and Cynthia for bringing this day to life and to all of the wonderful people on course who shared their knowledge and experiences. We know the students loved it.
