A big thanks to the team at East Maitland Outdoor Power Equipment for doing a great deal on the brigades new backpack blower!
We very much appreciate it!

Many purchases like this aren’t funded by the RFS and are up to individual brigades to fund ourselves, through things like fundraising and donations.

Any community support in helping our efforts go further is greatly appreciated and always welcomed 🚒

🔥 Smoke from the Oyster Cove and Nerong bush fires are impacting across the Lower Hunter 🔥

There is currently quite a bit of smoke drift resulting from the easterly winds pushing the smoke from the Port Stephens bushfires. This smoke drift will continue to be visible in our area across the weekend. NSW RFS, FRNSW, and NPWS crews actively working around the clock to contain and extinguish these fires.

🚒 Welcome home Josh 🚒

Please join us in welcoming home our Captain, Josh, who joined the NSW strike team alongside brigades from the NSW RFS Lower Hunter for a 5 day deployment to the Victorian fires.

We’re super proud of your commitment and effort, working long days in tough and challenging conditions supporting our southern neighbours in their communities 🚒
A memorable experience for sure!

We’d also like to acknowledge Josh’s family for holding down the fort while he was away 🌸

Lastly, we extend our gratitude and safe arrival home to all remaining brigades and firefighters working long days on deployments. Your time and effort is appreciated 👨‍🚒♥️
