A strong cold front is expected to move across Victoria this weekend, with the worst conditions forecast from Sunday into Monday, bringing widespread rain, strong winds and the potential for localised flooding.

VICSES is urging Victorians to prepare now by:

• Securing loose outdoor items.
• Clearing gutters and drains.
• Staying up to date with the latest forecasts and warnings through the VicEmergency app.
• Avoiding unnecessary travel during severe weather where possible.

Those travelling to the alpine region should remain vigilant as conditions can change. Download the VicEmergency app and set up a Watch Zone for your destination to receive the latest info.

For emergency assistance due to storms or floods, call SES on 132 500.

We’re out and about now for the Good Friday Appeal!

Keep an ear out for our trucks as we head around the community today with lights flashing and donation tins in hand, raising funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital

If you see us, please give us a wave and, if you can, make a donation — because every amount, big or small, makes a real difference in helping the hospital continue its incredible work for sick children and their families.

We’ll also have donation tins and EFTPOS available at the Station (97 Pt Nepean Rd, Dromana) so there are plenty of ways to contribute.

Thank you for supporting this amazing cause and helping us make a difference together 💛🚒
