Today, we pause to remember.

On this ANZAC Day, 16 ACU stands in reflection and gratitude for the courage, sacrifice, and service of all Australians and New Zealanders who have served—past and present.

Our cadets proudly honoured this legacy by taking part in commemorative services and marches, representing the values of respect, discipline, and mateship that define both the ANZAC spirit and our unit.

Lest we forget.

Great to have leadership out visiting us in the field this weekend and seeing firsthand what our cadets are achieving.

From fieldcraft and navigation through to teamwork and living in the field, our cadets continue to step up and take on new challenges with a strong attitude.

Appreciate the time taken to come out and engage with the activity — always valuable for our cadets and staff.

Proud of how 16 ACU represented.

FIELDCRAFT | TEAMWORK | LEADERSHIP

This weekend, cadets from 16 Army Cadet Unit, SPS ACU, 136 Redlands, and 109 Chermside got hands-on in the field, putting their skills into practice across navigation, fieldcraft, and living in field conditions.

From operating comms equipment and maintaining observation, to working as sections and learning around the fire at night — every activity focused on building real capability, teamwork, and confidence.

Training like this is where cadets step up — learning to rely on each other, solve problems, and operate as a team in a challenging environment.

Proud of the effort and attitude shown across the board.

What a massive day for 16 ACU and 126 Army Cadet Unit - Pine Rivers!

Congratulations to our cadets who completed the LCPL Course 👏

Hours of drill, teamwork, mentoring, problem solving, and leadership challenges — all culminating in a huge achievement.

Stepping into the role of Lance Corporal means stepping up for others. It means setting the standard, backing your team, and leading from the front.

We’re proud of the effort.
We’re proud of the growth.
We’re proud of the leaders emerging within our ranks.

Big things ahead 🔥
