A flood and storm task-force of 18 highly skilled VICSES members departed for NSW this morning to support our NSW SES colleagues.

They are expected to work in the Gosford area from later today supporting local crews.

Thank you to their families and employers for supporting their deployment 🧡

VICSES volunteers have been called to assist Victoria Police with several snow related incidents in recent days with vehicles coming off roads and campers stuck in snow.

With the snow level expected to drop from Saturday afternoon, and rain expected in parts of the state this weekend, we remind Victorians to be prepared and drive to conditions.

Snowgoers should allow extra space, use headlights and ensure their vehicle is equipped to travel on alpine roads, including carrying and using appropriate wheel chains.

Enjoy the long weekend!
