We have vacancies ready to fill now at Abermain Fire Station for On-Call Firefighters ready to meet new people and become part of a great team.
On-Call (Retained) firefighters are paid employees of the NSW Government, we go through comprehensive and ongoing training to provide various specialised services at emergencies which include structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, rescue incidents, hazardous materials incidents and many other services. We also support NSW Police, NSW Ambulance, Rural Fire Service and other government agencies as well as undertaking community safety activities to educate families, children and the elderly on fire safety.
Our team of firefighters, both men and women, from various backgrounds and careers are paid professionals who provide a leading edge emergency service to our local community. The work can be hard and challenging but ultimately very rewarding.
Daytime availability is preferred.
