ed as a retreat for the owner who wanted a secluded escape from the hustle and bustle of the corporate world in Sydney but close enough to make it worthwhile for a weekend away. Wollemi Retreat is a completely self sustaining eco retreat with a 100% reliable off the grid solar power supply and a rain harvested water supply. The main bedroom has an ensuite with a free standing bath and overhead rainfall shower combined with a floor to ceiling window to take advantage of the magnificent views across the valley. The kitchen and lounge room are all open plan with a double sided fireplace perfectly situated in the middle of the house. The kitchen has all the modern features such as SMEG oven, cook top and all appliances such as coffee machine, juicer, blender, BBQ and even an outdoor pizza oven. The front of the house has floor to ceiling glass commanding views across the valley to the beautiful mountain ranges to the east and north with each bedroom having a view to the famous Wheelbarrow Mountain. You will instantly recognise the huge deck to the front of the house that has a fire pit and an inbuilt whirlpool bath big enough for up to 6 people and capable of getting to 40 degrees. Foxtel and the internet are installed for the property plus there are also over 700 books and 300 DVDs in the mini library ensuring total relaxation and a recharging of the batteries. For those that want to get outdoors and see some of the local wildlife the area is famous for its rich variety of native wildlife including 46 species of mammal, 235 species of birds, 58 species of reptiles and 32 species of amphibians. There are plenty of walking trails on the property for getting back to nature including the backdrop of the large mountain range creating an imposing view. Cox Creek runs through the property attracting plenty of wildlife for viewing from the deck of the house. Within 40 minutes of the property there are countless attractions should you have the desire to explore the surrounding area including Mudgee Wineries, Dunns Swamp, Nullo Mountain, Fern Tree Gully, Lake Windermere, Sofala, Hill End, Capertee Valley and much more. Wollemi Retreat is the perfect getaway from Sydney for a short term break, great for recharging those batteries from the hustle and bustle of the city.
