🎙️📻 KHS On Air |KRR.FM! 📻🎙️

Every Wednesday from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, Mrs Leanne Besant and a group of Kandos High School students will be live on air at KRR.FM 98.7FM!

As part of this exciting opportunity, students will develop valuable radio and media skills including broadcasting, interviewing, public speaking, audio production, communication, teamwork, content creation and audience engagement.

This hands on experience allows students to build confidence, learn new skills and connect with our wider community through local radio.

A huge thank you to long time KRR.FM presenter and KHS teacher Mrs Leanne Besant for making this opportunity possible for our students. We are incredibly grateful for the time, passion and expertise she brings to the program.

We would also like to thank KRR.FM and the dedicated community volunteers who keep our local radio station running. Community organisations like KRR.FM play an important role in bringing people together, sharing local stories and creating opportunities for young people to learn and grow.

Be sure to tune in each Wednesday and support our student broadcasters! 🎧

Missing a day here or there may not seem like much, but absences add up and can negatively impact your child’s learning and wellbeing. When your child misses one day per fortnight, that's 4 weeks of missed learning in one year. Over an entire school journey this adds up to 1 year of lost learning.
Hop onto the Sentral app and add up how many missed days of learning your child may have - it might surprise you. Those one or two days away every now and then add up to a whole lot of lost learning!
