The Sale SES would like to thank Inta Plumbing in Sale for their quick response and assistance this week, when a water leak damaged a section of the interior walls of the unit.

Their diligent assistance saved us from more serious damage, which would have been very costly for the unit to repair.

Last night, members were treated to a visit by the SES Health and Well-being team.
The team visit our unit annually, and take time with each of our members running through a series of health checks, including:
- Blood Pressure
- Glucose and Cholesterol checks
- Grip Strength
We then have a healthy meal together and discuss a well-being topic, in this case, the importance of movement and excersize.
This, along with check-ins from our peer support team, and availability of councillors, chaplains and psychologists is all a free service available to all VICSES members!
Big thanks to the well-being team (and Ops Manager Karina) for making the trip out to see us! 🙂

Tonight, we were grateful for a visit from Bob and Frank from the Sale and District Lions .

Some months ago, the Sale SES attended a job at Bob's house, when a broken pipe had flooded the entire house in his absence.

Our crew worked into the evening, sweeping water out and drying carpet and lifting important items put of harms way.

Bob was so appreciative, he decided to donate $500 to our unit! Even more amazing, the Sale Lions Club decided to match the donation! 😲

Donations like these allow us to purchase more equipment and materials to serve our community, and are greatly appreciated!

The Sale SES unit is on the hunt for vehicles!

We have a date locked in for our road rescue re-assessment, and have several new members with road rescue training under their belts, who need to practice their skills. (Not to mention the experienced members, who need to keep their skills current too!)

If you have, or know of a friend or family member with, an old vehicle that would be willing to donate to the unit, would be greatly appreciated!

Doesn't need to run, doesn't need to be complete. Just needs wheels, doors and a roof. We can organise collection on a car trailer at a convenient time by arrangement.
