Yesterday marked a historic occasion when the Sale & District Agricultural Society signed a 15 year-lease extension for the Sale Greyhounds Club. This guarantees the race club’s future at our grounds until 2057, and provides an opportunity for both the Ag Society & the Greyhounds to build on our long-standing relationship and continue our strong community involvement in the Wellington Shire. All parties are very excited to continue working alongside each other and to support each other in our common goal of creating and maintaining entertainment spaces for locals and visiting tourists.

Want to volunteer with the Sale Ag Society? Please feel welcome to contact President Richard Crooke on 0408514059 to see how you can get involved!

It’s National Volunteer Week! The Sale & District Agricultural Society is proudly the longest-running community organisation in the region. Since 1859, our prestigious Society has relied on the invaluable contributions of our volunteers, and 2026 is no exception! We are always looking for more sets of hands to help out around the grounds, and with preparations for the beloved Sale Show.

A lot of the work happens at the Sale Showground Wednesdays 10am – 3pm, so please feel welcome to drop into the office during that window and see how you can get involved! If that time doesn’t work for you but you’d like to be a part of this iconic Gippsland organisation, please email Jenni on [email protected] and we will find something that suits you.

Ongoing support is always appreciated, but we value any time spent with us, so we encourage you to contact us even it might just be a one-off or on sporadic occasions that you can come along. We are a very friendly, passionate bunch, and we look forward to meeting you!
