🚲 Help your child feel more confident riding their bike on the road!

Children aged 5 to 15 can build their bike safety skills at the THINK! Road Safety Program at Happy Home Reserve Road Safety Park.

The session includes road safety education, lunch provided, and a supervised bike ride around the park.

📅 Dates: Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 September 2026
⏰ Session times:
9:30 am – 11:00 am
11:15 am – 12:45 pm
1:00 pm – 2:30 pm

📍 Location: Road Safety Park, Happy Home Reserve, between Waterloo Corner Road and Salisbury Highway, Salisbury North SA 5108

Children are welcome to bring their own bike, but bikes will also be available to use on the day.

The iconic story book Herman and Rosie comes alive through music!

Join the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra for a musical retelling of Gus Gordon’s award-winning Herman and Rosie – a delightful story of friendship, music, and life in the city.

Presented by Susan Ferguson, this lively jazz-inspired score will offer plenty of chances for your children to join the fun.

This family-friendly event will be at the Salisbury Community Hub on Friday 14 August from 6pm to 7pm. Doors open at 5.30pm.

I had a wonderful time attending the launch of Woodland Walk, the City of Salisbury’s largest residential development, located along the Walkley’s Road Corridor between Montague Road and Bridge Road in Ingle Farm.

This exciting new development will deliver 220 residential dwellings and create a modern, connected and sustainable community for both new and existing residents.

Woodland Walk is also the first fully residential project in South Australia to achieve 6 Star Green Star Communities certification from the Green Building Council, which is a fantastic recognition of the City of Salisbury’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and high-quality urban design.

The development has been carefully designed with energy efficiency, water-wise living, cooler streets, greener spaces and long-term livability in mind. It will also include between 15 and 20 per cent affordable housing, with homes offered at 10 to 15 per cent below the South Australian Government’s price point, helping to support greater housing accessibility within our community.

It was fantastic to see the official branding unveiled and to learn more about the vision behind this important project. Civil works are expected to commence later this year, and I look forward to seeing Woodland Walk take shape.
