Casami Sensory Garden – It’s Growing! 💚

Our Casami Social Enterprise Sensory Garden is really starting to take shape, and we couldn’t be more excited! 🌸🌱

What was once an unused space is being transformed into a beautiful, inclusive sensory garden where people of all abilities can learn, work, connect and enjoy nature. Every plant, flower and garden bed is another step towards creating meaningful training and employment opportunities for people with disability.

There’s still plenty to do, and we’d love a helping hand from our wonderful community.

🌼 We’re looking for volunteers to assist with:

* Planting flowers and herbs
* Mulching and weeding
* Building and maintaining garden beds
* General gardening and landscaping
* Sharing your gardening knowledge and enthusiasm

Whether you can spare an hour or a few days, your support will help us create something truly special for our supported staff and the wider community.

At Casami Social Enterprise, we’re taking the next step in creating a beautiful, inclusive outdoor space behind our beloved Cafe on Kelly ☕

We’re looking at leveling the area to bring our vision to life — a space that will support:
💗 Connection
💗 Inclusion
💗 Learning
💗 Wellbeing

To make this happen, we’re hoping to bring in a bobcat to help prepare the ground and set the foundation for something truly special 🌱

This space will become a place where our supported staff can grow, learn, and shine — and where our community can come together and feel a sense of belonging 💫

✨ Position Available:
• Saturday mornings
• A couple of hours during the week

✨ We’re looking for someone who is:
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Well presented and professional
• Friendly with great customer service skills
• Able to cook and follow supervisor instructions
• Confident with barista skills ☕
• A great all-rounder who enjoys working in a team
• Committed to an inclusive approach and supporting our team members with disabilities with respect, patience & kindness

As we look back on 2025, we’re filled with gratitude.
Not just for the highs — the wins, the growth, the moments that made us proud — but also for the lows that stretched us, shaped us, and taught us what really matters.

This year reminded us that building Cafe on Kelly and our developing Social Enterprise isn’t just about coffee or numbers. It’s about people. It’s about resilience. It’s about showing up even when things feel uncertain and choosing purpose over comfort.

Every challenge brought clarity.
Every lesson strengthened our values.
Every step — forward or sideways — moved us closer to the impact we’re here to create.

Thank you to everyone who believed, supported, learned alongside us, and stayed the course. 2025 gave us wisdom, humility, and a deeper sense of why we do what we do.
