When the term domestic violence is mentioned most people capture in their imagination husbands beating on their wives or enraged men abusing their partners but many men are physically and verbally assaulted by their wives and girlfriends also. Men suffer in silence mainly because it's viewed as cowardly or weak for a man to be overcome by a woman.
There are lots of men's support groups out there that can identify specifically with this growing issue in Queensland.

Too many of us hear and see violence in our communities and keep silent for fear of what may happen to us. PAVA encourages all people everywhere to speak up when they know someone is being abused in their neighbourhood. What does keeping silent achieve, we all have a duty of care toward each other which includes speaking up on behalf of a victim of violent abuse even if we don't know them personally. Violent crimes against humanity escalate because WE allow it.

Lets raise the banner high on this one, lets get a single united voice going and push for law reforms harsher penalties for repeat offenders, 24/7 community security men and women trained to deal with violent offenders in cases where police will not respond. Passive in nature aggressive in application, together we can do this. Come join the fight against violence in all its form. Save our babies, our children, our elderly folk, disabled, blind people, these are the types of crimes perpetrators are getting off on now. Lets stand against this evil and save innocent lives.
