If you’ve been following our page, you may have seen our recent post celebrating our 𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 with St. Luke's Catholic Primary School —and how it just keeps getting stronger 💚💙

A wonderful example of this is our 𝑻𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑮𝒓𝒐𝒖𝒑 𝒂𝒕 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒌, where creativity comes to life. Together, our participants and students roll up their sleeves to design, build, and explore using a range of materials.

Their latest project? 𝑯𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒎𝒂𝒅𝒆 𝒄𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒌𝒆𝒕 𝒃𝒂𝒕𝒔! 🏏
After plenty of teamwork and craftsmanship, the bats were put to the test out on the field—and let’s just say, we think Pat Cummins would be impressed with the quality! ☺️

We are so proud to share how much we value our ongoing partnership with the wonderful St. Luke's Catholic Primary School Community. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see our EcoCottage cooking program with the Junior Learning Community grow from strength to strength each week! 🍽️🌱

We are now thrilled to expand our involvement by being welcomed into the 𝐏𝐫𝐞-𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 — such a special opportunity to connect with even more young learners. 📚

A big congratulations to Kaylene, who has begun her journey within the school community. She is did an amazing job helping to bring stories to life for the children and getting creative with engaging craft activities 🎨📖 This is a fabulous opportunity for Kaylene, and we couldn’t be prouder of her!

At our 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐮𝐛, everyday life skills are often an outcome of all our programs and activities. 💙💚

We believe no one skill is more important than another—each one is unique to the individual, shaped through person-centred support, and meaningful in its own way. It’s these small but powerful moments of growth that we celebrate every day.

𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒆 independently prepared her own toasted sandwich for lunch—cutting it herself and then joining the group to enjoy the shared mealtime. Afterwards, she went on to wash, dry and put away her dishes. These may seem like simple tasks, but they represent confidence, independence, and progress built over time with the right support.

This is what 𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏-𝒄𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒅 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 looks like—supporting each participant in ways that matter to them, helping them build skills that enhance their independence and quality of life.

Every achievement, no matter how big or small, is worth celebrating. 👏💫

At 𝑺𝒉𝒆𝒑𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒕𝒐𝒏 𝑨𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 we are proud to recognise and celebrate our amazing volunteer, 𝑩𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒏.

Each week, Brian supports our participants by taking them out into the community for bike rides, enriching our wellbeing program and creating safe, enjoyable opportunities for connection, exercise, and social engagement.

Following this weeks bike ride, the group surprised Brian with a small token of our appreciation—a small way to capture just how grateful we are. His dedication, kindness, and ever-present smile make a lasting impact on everyone he meets. Brian truly embodies the spirit of volunteering through over 10 years of dedication.

One of our many great supporters, Shepparton Club has recently completed some major renovations—and Sam has been so excited to share with us all the finish result.

Throughout the upgrade period, Sam has continued attending weekly as part of his Employment Supports funding in his NDIS plan. Working through the renovations has also given Sam a great insight into how we adapt and grow alongside the environments around us and now he’s loving being back and experiencing the brand-new bar area.

🌟 Sam has recently achieved a goal he’s been working hard towards — carrying three coffees on a tray at once. What an incredible milestone!

Sam has also added a new goal to his weekly visits—catching the bus to and from the club, which he has navigated with ease. We couldn’t be prouder of his progress and confidence!

𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐩 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬!

In our Learn Local Education Life Skills course, participants took on a fun and delicious cooking challenge!
From start to finish, the group worked through every step of the process.

👉Sourcing a recipe
👉Checking what was in the fridge
👉Writing a shopping list
👉Pricing items
👉Complete the shopping.

Back in the kitchen, it was all hands on deck as they chopped, mixed, and baked their very own mini quiches.
The end result? Absolutely delicious! 😋 In fact, they were such a hit requests are in to make these again!

A big well done to 𝑱𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏, 𝑪𝒂𝒍𝒆𝒃, 𝑫𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒏, 𝑵𝒂𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑩𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒕 for their teamwork and effort—what a fantastic way to build confidence and practical life skills.

Each week as part of our 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 program, our basketball enthusiasts head to the stadium to shoot some hoops, build their skills, and enjoy a great game together. 🏀

𝑱𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒆, 𝑮𝒆𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒉 also take their passion to the next level as part of the 𝑨𝒍𝒍-𝑨𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒌𝒆𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝑻𝒆𝒂𝒎. This morning, there were cheers of joy at our Hub as they shared the fantastic news that their team won the Grand Final in a weekend tournament held at the Shepparton Sports Stadium. 🎉

A huge shout out to the Greater Shepparton Basketball Association and their incredible volunteers who make opportunities like this possible for adults living with disability to play the game they love in a supportive team environment.
