🚨INCIDENTS - WEDNESDAY 1ST APRIL🚨
This afternoon, Shoalhaven Heads Brigade attended two separate incidents.
1. Pile Burn – Berry
Our first call was to a reported smoke sighting on Berry Mountain, which was confirmed to be a private pile burn. A reminder that, as we are currently outside the Bush Fire Danger Period, permits are not required. However, you are still required to notify your local Fire Control Centre and your neighbours before lighting a burn.
Please note: residents within Fire & Rescue NSW areas must continue to obtain permits year-round.
2. Scrub Fire – Beecroft Peninsula
From this incident, our crew was redirected to a scrub fire at Beecroft Peninsula. Shoalhaven Heads firefighters worked alongside several other NSW RFS - Shoalhaven brigades to contain the fire using a variety of suppression methods.
