As of tomorrow - 1st April, the Bush Fire Danger Period will conclude for the Shoalhaven. This means that residents who live in Rural Fire District will no longer need a Fire Permit to burn piles of vegetation as part of your bush fire hazard management (unless you live within the town limits of Berry, Nowra and Ulladulla as you will need a permit from Fire + Rescue NSW all year round).
Even though you will no longer need a Fire Permit from the RFS, you're still required to notify us and your neighbours at least 24 hours in advance. To notify is easy! You can follow the link below or scan this QR code to enter your details.
