Fire Danger Period amendment is coming up on 7th April 2026. Whilst you will be able to conduct open air burning under certain circumstances, it doesn't necessarily mean it's safe to burn off. Conditions across the Peninsula are still quite dry in many areas and you will need to exercise caution.

🚒 Welcome to our newest firefighters! 🚒

Shoreham Fire Brigade is proud to welcome Joel and Michael as our newest firefighters 👏

After visiting the station in January to learn more about volunteering, Joel and Michael didn’t waste any time—both signed up straight away and have shown incredible dedication, completing all theory and practical training in just 7 weeks 💪

They wrapped up their journey by successfully completing their practical skills assessment on Friday 6 March—an outstanding achievement!

Their addition brings our operational crew to 17 firefighters, strengthening our ability to respond to incidents across the Shoreham / Point Leo area and support our neighbouring brigades 🚨

Over summer, our members have also assisted at fires in Longwood, Alexandra, Yarck and Dargo—showing the important role our brigade plays across the state 🌏🔥

Shoreham CFA is a volunteer brigade, responding to emergencies 24/7, 365 days a year. If you’re a local resident and can lend a hand—whether during the day, at night or on weekends—we’d love to hear from you. Every volunteer truly makes a difference ❤️

Early yesterday morning, Shoreham Ultralight was deployed to Dargo as part of Task Force 0808. With today's weather a great concern due to the Extreme conditions, we wish all the crews the very best.
