🌿 2,000 new lavender plants are going into the ground! 💜

This is our biggest lavender planting in more than 10 years, as we expand our main Lavender Field and add more lavender throughout the gardens.

We’re planting a mix of English (Lavandula Angustifolia), Grosso, Italian and a little French lavender.

We’re especially excited about the English lavender, which we’ll eventually be able to harvest and use in our café and gift shop.

Of course, 2,000 little lavender plants are going to take some time to grow! But our main Lavender Field will be open in September, so you can wander through, see the new planting taking shape and watch it develop over the seasons. 🌿💜

Winter has its own kind of beauty. 🌿

Long before spring arrives, the Winter Roses begin to bloom.

Known botanically as Hellebores, these remarkable flowers have earned their common name because they brighten the garden through the coldest months of the year, when so many other plants are still resting.

As you wander the woodland paths at Ashcombe, you'll find delicate blooms in soft shades of cream, green and blush, quietly reminding us that every season has something worth discovering.

Winter isn't the end of the garden...
it's simply the beginning of a different story.

As the last leaf falls, the first bulbs wake in the woodlands. 🌱

Winter at Ashcombe is anything but quiet. Beneath the woodland floor, thousands of bluebells are beginning their journey to bloom.

In just a few weeks, the bare trees will stand above a sea of blue—a contrast that's worth waiting for. 💙

Follow winding woodland paths, discover our castle playground, lose yourselves in Australia's oldest hedge maze, and wander through the Lavender Labyrinth, where the lavender is still beautifully in bloom.

We've been treated to the most beautiful midwinter sunshine this weekend. Reflections have danced across the ponds, golden light has spilled through the hedges, and every path has invited us to wander a little longer.
