This week, students at Singleton High School came together to participate in a special Reconciliation Week activity by creating a beautiful handprint display. Each handprint symbolises our commitment to respect, unity, and walking together towards reconciliation.
Throughout the week, students also took part in important learning experiences about what Reconciliation means for all Australians. Classes explored the history and impact of the Stolen Generation, helping students develop a deeper understanding of the experiences of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the importance of truth, healing, and connection.
We are proud of our students for engaging thoughtfully in these conversations and contributing to a meaningful display that reflects our shared commitment to reconciliation.

Congratulations to Steve! We are lucky enough to have Steve work at SHS as part of our Clontarf Staff, he is making a difference inside our school and outside with the wider Singleton community. SHS is proud of you!

Congratulations to Steven Lawrence from Singleton Netball Association, our Hyundai Netty Legend of the Month.

We’re continuing the 2026 Netty Legend of the Month program, now supported by Hyundai, celebrating the volunteers who are the heartbeat of grassroots netball across NSW.

Steve stepped into netball with no prior experience, inspired by his daughters’ love of the game, and has since grown into a respected coach, mentor and community leader across the association.

Passionate about inclusion and culture, Steve also created the Koori program “Kuulang,” establishing two teams focused on celebrating culture, connection, community and team spirit through netball.

His commitment has seen him appointed as a Development Coach, and he now also serves as Coaching Convenor.

Impact Players Program
Round 4 - The Ripple Effect
In Round 4, students participated in a session focused on positive praise, action and mindsets, acknowledging the effort and determination of their peers.
Special Guest Mentor: Rich Fogarty shared his personal story, identifying common and shared challenges, along with his non-negotiables around routines, discipline and mindset. In Session 2, Rich and Andrew led students through teamwork, decision-making and boxercise focused movement activities.
Impact Challenge - Students worked in small groups, identifying the qualities and characteristics of people who make a difference. Students were challenged to think critically about what this looks like in everyday life, inclusive of home, school and beyond. Students also had opportunities to identify and reflect on their strengths.
