RDA Logan & Redlands

RDA Logan & Redlands Attracting investment, harnessing competitive advantages and growing economic opportunities and jobs in the Logan and Redlands region.

Our Priorities:

The RDA Logan and Redlands Committee believes the key to achieving its vision and unleashing the economic and social potential of Logan and Redlands is based on:

Connectivity - the virtual and spatial networking of places and people, both as consumers and workers, with increased provision of high-speed broadband and transport link, especially public transport to facilitate jobs

access. Social Integration - the building of community links to ensure a strong and resilient community in which the health and well-being of people of all ages, cultures, abilities and needs are supported by a full range of integrated services, programs, organisations and facilities. Economic Consolidation - moving away from a patchwork economy by increasing the size, intensity and interconnections of the regional economy to shape a network of mutually - beneficial activity centres with hallmark levels of regional employment and job growth.

This week, RDA Logan & Redlands joined colleagues from all 11 Queensland RDAs in Brisbane to meet with Queensland Government representatives and discuss the priorities that matter most to regional communities across the state.

A key highlight was meeting with David Crisafulli MP where he talked about the vital role RDAs play in providing regional insights, connecting stakeholders and advocating for better economic outcomes for our communities.

The discussions reinforced the value of a strong and collaborative RDA network. While every region has its own unique opportunities and challenges, there are common themes emerging across Queensland, including housing and enabling infrastructure, workforce development, connectivity, investment attraction and long-term economic resilience.

For RDA Logan & Redlands, these conversations provide an important opportunity to ensure the interests of our region are represented and to highlight both the opportunities and challenges associated with being one of Australia's fastest-growing regions.

We thank Premier David Crisafulli, Minister Dale Last, Assistant Minister Bryson Head, Minister Andrew Cripps and all Members of Parliament and government representatives who took the time to engage with the RDA network.

RDA Logan & Redlands were proud to be a partner at the recent City of Logan: Investment and Industry Forum 2026, an outstanding event delivered by the Logan Office of Economic Development team at Logan City Council .

The event brought together leaders from industry, government, academia and the investment community and reinforced the strong interest in the significant investment opportunities that exist and that are shaping the City of Logan.

We also heard directly from Logan businesses, prospering in the region and whose experiences and insights highlighted the strength, diversity and ambition of the local business community.

Together with Mayor Jon Raven's vision for the future, including the proposed release of more than 600 hectares of industrial and employment land, the message is clear that Logan is open for business.

The Logan Office of Economic Development team are keen to hear from businesses and investors who wish to explore opportunities to invest, operate and grow in the City of Logan.

The Australian Government’s 2026–27 Federal Budget delivers a strong national focus on infrastructure, housing, productivity, resilience and regional connectivity — all areas of significant importance to the Logan and Redlands region.

While the Budget did not include major place-based funding announcements specifically for Logan or Redlands, a number of the national and regional investment measures align strongly with the opportunities and challenges facing our rapidly growing region.

Key themes within the Budget include:

• Housing supply and enabling infrastructure
• Productivity and economic reform
• Transport and freight connectivity
• Fuel security and supply chain resilience
• Workforce participation and skills
• Community infrastructure and regional liveability

For Logan and Redlands, the Budget reinforces the importance of sustained investment in enabling infrastructure to support one of the fastest-growing regions in South East Queensland.
