Last night members took part in a team building exercise where some used radio's to instruct another team member on how to build a lego. Pictures are the end result. Good job team. Thanks jocelyn and nat for taking the training.

Today we got invited to have morning tea with some of the havenview primary school students for thank a first responder day. Thank you for inviting us was a great morning.

Thursday night's training consisted of us heading out to fernglade to sharpen up and learn some new skills in some land search training. One of the many things we do as apart of ses.

Today is WOW Day! 🧡

Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW) is a chance to recognise and thank the incredible SES volunteers who generously give their time to help communities during flood and storm emergencies across Australia.

From responding in challenging conditions to supporting communities when they need it most, SES volunteers work year-round to help keep people safe.

Thursday night saw our newer and senior members have a bit of a refresher on their working at heights setup once setup newer members then where able to get up on the roof for the first time. As the saying goes repetition is key.

On Thursday night our newer members got a bit of an introduction into how our rooftop setup is done and what is done to set it up properly and safely for other members to use. This is just one of the many things they will learn as they further their training. Thank you Lorinda for taking training much appreciated.

For training last night we had our regional training officer Damian come in and give us a bit of a refresher on airbags and cribbing, as we very rarely use it in our unit but still like to practice it and its always handy to be aware and have knowledge of.

For last night's training we headed out to the TAS SES - Wynyard Unit to catch up with them and to do a bit of a rooftop exercise. Was a great night. Looking forward to doing more nights like that. Thanks for having us.

Last night members participated in a crime scene forensic search exercise. This being one of the many things we do as apart our training and also when required on call outs.
