Three entertaining and informative 15 minute videos about South Hobart are being posted on YouTube by novelist and historian Angus Thornett. Angus’ historic videos on Hobart suburbs present a look from sometimes surprising angles. The first of the South Hobart videos appeared at 5:00 pm on YouTube on Sunday 5th March, 2023, the second will be launched on Sunday 12th March, 2023, and the third on Sunday 19th March, 2023. The videos have been commissioned and sponsored by the South Hobart Progress Association using the profits from the sale of Dr. Alison Alexander’s book “Beneath the Mountain: A History of South Hobart”, which was commissioned, published and paid for by the Association. The videos have been created for the pleasure of all, so make sure you view and enjoy them!
