Today some of our team completed their annual Helicopter Insertion Techniques (HIT) recertification. There skills are vital to maintain as it is one of the most dangerous jobs we can perform as remote area firefighters.

This particular spot is an isolated and protected valley which is home to some massive native trees. Some of the trees have suffered from the effects of bush fires over the years, however some of the biggest trees are untouched.
Our job now is to keep them protected from future fires and preserve these incredible trees for years to come!
