This is Paddy
Paddy has been in permanent foster care with Armadale Community Animal Rescue since October 2017 when she and her 3 siblings were found dumped in a box in the bush in Kelmscott, they were 3 weeks old at the time.
Paddy was diagnosed with a heart murmur as a kitten which became progressively worse and she has a hole in her heart which was discovered on ultrasound at 7 months old
Due to the severity of her heart condition the advice given by the vet was that it would be too dangerous for her to go under anaesthetic to be desexed.
The vet opinion was that Paddy would likely not make it much further than 1 years old due to her heart problem.
Paddy has lived with her foster family since the beginning and the shelter have always provided vet care for her whilst her foster family have provided food, love and all the creature comforts that she deserves.
Paddy has an implant that stops her going into season and is so beneficial to both her physical health and her mental health.
Paddy needs a new implant but Armadale Community Animal Rescue have REFUSED now to pay for this necessary service to make her life so much more comfortable.
Paddy has far outlived any vet’s expectations and for that as her foster Mum I am overjoyed about as she has the sweetest nature and is the most loving and spirited cat despite the condition she lives with daily
Paddy takes no medication for her condition.
Her implant costs $388 and $47 for vet implantation
If any of you can help Paddy are able to make any donations for her care to RAILWAY AVE VET CLINIC it would so very much appreciated

************************
Hi Everyone. Please be advised that the cats we have at our shelter on Railway Avenue have been relocated to our new shelter at Southern River.
Only 6kms away but a new world away for our beautiful furbabies. The new shelter is fully enclosed with netting, has a huge grassed area for them to play on, 2 separate buildings with reverse cycle air conditioning in one building and weatherproof awnings on the other.
They will have the ability to move from building to building to grassed area. There will be lots of "hidey" places for those not quite socially adept and they as always will be given the best of care and comfort.
The shelter is temporarily closed to the public while the cats settle. Will advise when we will reopen for you to check out the new shelter and all our beautiful babies.
To all our current volunteers who help immensely please contact me, Amanda Shelter Manager for more details.
To any new volunteers who would like to join and volunteer please private message our page.
To the general public who just would like to come have a look....you are more than welcome just please bear with us while we settle in and get some last minute changes.
To all our customers, volunteers, anyone who has ever helped in any way with the Op Shops/Shelter, THIS is what we are working for, new and improved areas for our cats before they are rehomed. Personalities aside, the cats are our main concern and as long as we remember that then everything will fall into place.
