No Industry 4 Spring Hill - Huntley This is an independent page for the community to view information about a proposed extensive Industrial Zone at Huntley - Spring Hill.

The Spring Hill and Surrounds Consultative Committee has come together to inform the community about the adverse impacts of this proposed Industrial rezoing. We have set up this site to communicate to the broader Community, information about the proposed development that is not being communicated by Council. In April 2015 Orange City Council lodged a rezoning proposal with the NSW Department of Pl

anning - Local Environment Plan Gateway, proposing to rezone approximately 318 hectares at Huntley and Spring Hill near Spring Hill Aerodrome. Recently Orange City Council lodged an amendment to this proposal seeking approval of Stage 1 of the proposal which involves 114ha to introduce the zonings of General Industrial and Industrial/Business from the 2011 LEP zones of Environmental Management, Primary Production and Infrastructure. This industrial proposal follows councils recently completed terminal upgrade and runway extension at the airport and is subject to a separate approval process. During the upgrade of the airport Orange City Council rezoned a significant area of land to infrastructure to facilitate the runway extension and road realignment, a large percentage of this land wasn't used for this purpose and is now subject to this industrial rezoning proposal. THIS PROPOSED GENERAL INDUSTRIAL ZONE IS CURRENTLY OPEN FOR PUBLIC SUBMISSIONS WHILE ON PUBLIC DISPLAY. For detailed information about this proposed rezoning please visit our website
