Our members were proud to attend the Waterway Annual Easter Event yesterday, connecting with the community and celebrating with local families.

Today, we were out and about around Springvale Central collecting donations for the Good Friday Appeal 💜💚

🔥 TOTAL FIRE BAN – TUESDAY 17th FEBRUARY 2026 🔥

Today, Tuesday 17th February 2026, has been declared a Total Fire Ban due to dangerous fire conditions.

Under a Total Fire Ban:
🚫 No campfires or solid fuel BBQs
🚫 No burning off or incinerators

Fires can start easily and spread rapidly in these conditions, putting lives, homes and firefighters at risk.

We ask all members of the community to please:
✅ Postpone any outdoor activities that could cause sparks or flames
✅ Follow all fire restrictions
✅ Report any fires immediately by calling 000
✅ Check the VicEmergency app for the latest warnings and updates

Yesterday members from Springvale CFA attended the Springvale Lunar New Year Festival to engage with members of the public.

Members spent time connecting with the community, discussing all matters related to fire safety and showcasing the appliance & equipment we carry to help keep our community safe.

A big thank you to Springvale Asian Business Association (SABA) for organising such a wonderful event and having us on the day.

May the Year of the Horse bring you all prosperity, luck and happiness.

Late Friday evening, members from Keysborough Fire Brigade crossed crewed with Springvale CFA were deployed to Strike Team ST0834 alongside neighbouring brigades from the South East Group Fire Brigades - CFA to assist with the Longwood bushfire.

Two of our members were also crews on Strike Team ST0802

Crews worked tirelessly throughout the day and night on containment lines, stopping spot fires caused by unpredictable winds and carrying out asset protection to safeguard structures and critical infrastructure.

Thank you to our members for giving up your time to help keep our broader communities safe.

To our crews, and to all firefighters and emergency service personnel — thank you for your service.

Stay safe and look after each other.
