The City of St. George is closely monitoring Tropical Depression Two as it moves northwest through the Gulf.
According to the National Weather Service, the system is expected to strengthen into a tropical storm later today before turning west on Tuesday. The current forecast brings it into southeastern Louisiana as a tropical storm on Wednesday.
Residents should remain weather aware and take time now to:

βοΈ Clear nearby drains and catch basins when safe
βοΈ Prepare for possible power outages
βοΈ Follow trusted sources for updates
The City will continue coordinating with the St. George Fire Department and regional partners and will provide updates as conditions develop.
