🌸🎨 International Women’s Day Celebration in St Marys 🎨🌸
Multicultural residents came together in St Marys on Friday 6 March to celebrate International Women’s Day with generous acts of creativity and community spirit. 🌼🀝

Over 50 local guests were welcomed by volunteers and staff from Nepean Multicultural Access (NMA). Guests at the gathering were inspired by an empowering keynote from NMA Treasurer Laura Sardo. 🌷✨

Another kind volunteer, Mia Joosten gifted beautiful handmade hearts to many people in the room. πŸ’–

Adding to the spirit of creative kindness, artist Nasim Ta guided participants in crafting their own paper collage artworks, filling the space with colourful imagination. πŸŒΊβœ‚οΈπŸŽ¨

Together we connected, shared stories and celebrated the powerful message that when women thrive, we all rise! πŸŒ»πŸ’

🌿✨ Voices of Resilience – Week 4 ✨🌿

Our diverse community reached an important milestone in the Voices of Resilience program. Together, we explored ways to strengthen our wellbeing by connecting with Dharug Country and our local community.

The photo shows artifacts created over 4 weeks. It illustrates that through art making and creativity, the participants have shared their personal stories of resilience and built meaningful connections with one another. 🎨🀝

Artist Nasim Ta and storyteller Sifa Pavihi, facilitated a safe space to encourage listening, reflection, and learning.

β€œWe bounce back, like a stone skimming a monsoon, returning to shore unbroken again and again.” πŸ’›
