We had a change from clearing trees yesterday with a couple of searches. In the morning we looked for a cat that had been under a house for awhile and then last night assisted Victoria Police with a search near Pomonal Road

We were out and about today in the wet and windy weather clearing trees at Glenorchy, Fyans Creek and several around Halls Gap

We were at Boronia Peak yesterday with SES Ararat Unit assisting Ambulance Victoria and Victoria Police with an injured hiker on the track. We drove up the muddy 4WD track and then walked to the patient, luckily HEMS was overhead and was able to winch

We had a break from regular training last night, it was a bit too cold outside, so we put the heaters on and played a couple of games

Over the weekend we celebrated something truly extraordinary — over 400 years of combined volunteer service for the Wimmera region 🎉

From responding to floods 🌧️, storms 🌪️, and road accidents, to supporting our partner agencies when our community needs it most, our volunteers show up with courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment.

The awards ceremony honoured the people who give their time, skills, and heart to keep others safe. Their dedication doesn’t just strengthen our organisation — it strengthens our entire community.
