Stawell Fire Brigade The Stawell Fire Brigade is a volunteer fire brigade within the Country Fire Authority located in the Wimmera in Western Victoria

The brigade's area of primary protection includes the township of Stawell and surrounding areas. These include farmland, bushland both public and private. The majority of incidents attended by the brigade reflect the residential/ light industrial nature of urban/ rural interface. 👟🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ Walk to School Day!

Yesterday our members laced up and joined local primary school students for Walk to School Day, encouraging healthy habits and a great start to the day! 🍎

It was fantastic to be out alongside our emergency services family — Ambulance Victoria, Eyewatch - Northern Grampians Police Service Area and SES Stawell Unit — chatting with the kids, meeting parents, and showing that getting active can be fun for everyone.

A huge thanks to the schools and students for having us, and to our members who came along to support such a worthwhile community event. 💪

Walking to school is a simple way to boost fitness, reduce traffic around school zones, and build connections with your neighbourhood — win, win, win!

🚒 Farewell Tanker 2 🧡

Our seasonal Tanker 2 has rolled out of Stawell for the final time, heading off to auction after 36 years of service. A 1990 Hino, she spent just 5 months with us this past fire danger period — her final season with red and blues. ⏳

Stawell regularly gets a second tanker over summer, but it’s typically an end-of-life truck in its last season. It helps our crews through the hot months, but without the safety features of a newer appliance — including a crew cab, meaning some members travel on the rear deck rather than inside with the rest of the crew. 🚒

With Tanker 2 gone, we’re back to one tanker year-round.

The brigade continues to advocate for a permanent, modern second appliance at Stawell — one that stays with us every season. 💪

If you hear the sirens we won’t be too far away from you!
We will have trucks and collectors out around town today after 9, so drive carefully if you see us and keep your donations ready to drop in our tins.

We will also have members at the fire station all day and are happy to take donations if you’d prefer to drop in and say HI!👋

🔥🚒 Don’t forget this Friday is Good Friday and that means the Stawell Fire Brigade will be out and about collecting funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Appeal 🔥🚒

We would love it if people can help us out. What we need is some helpers to donate some time to help collect money around the town on Friday morning. Everyone is welcome to come along and help us out, and the more the merrier.
We welcome all helpers big and small!

🏨Where: Stawell Fire Station
⏰ When: 8:30 am, Good Friday, 3rd April

Registration starts in the morning at 8.30am. All volunteers will need to be registered, and teams will then head out with the trucks or the bus for the Stawell collection by 9 am.

☕ Morning tea and lunch will be provided for everyone who helps out.

We’d love to see you and your friends at the Stawell Fire Station on Friday morning 3rd of April.

You’ll be making a real difference!
