The SACWA Country Café at the 2026 Royal Adelaide Show is looking for volunteers to join us for pre-show preparation and during the Show itself. Needing legal support but not sure how to get it or how to pay for it? Read below :)

If your legal problem can’t be solved with simple legal advice, you can apply for legal aid. Legal aid means we will pay a lawyer to act for you and help you resolve your legal problem.

Legal aid is not free. You will be asked to contribute to your legal costs based on how much you can reasonably afford to pay. You are not expected to pay more than you can.

You can apply for legal aid directly with us. If there is a private lawyer you would like to work with, you can apply through their office and we will try to support your choice wherever possible. If you don’t have a lawyer in mind, we will organise one for you.

Visit https://lsc.sa.gov.au/legalaid to apply for legal aid via the online or downloadable application forms on our website.

If you are having difficulty, don't worry. Our lawyers can also help you complete the application form.

Caring responsibilities tend most often to fall to women. It's often women who are raising kids & caring for parents at the same time, and who bear the heaviest burden when a loved one is unwell or managing a disability.

The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme - really worth knowing about.

Some welcome recognition of our world-leading Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, featured on 60 Minutes Australia last Sunday.

The program asked an important question: 'Should women be warned if their partner has a violent past?' Our answer… the results speak for themselves.

The Domestic Violence Disclosure Scheme, a partnership between South Australia Police and Women’s Safety Services SA, is helping to save lives by empowering people with information to make safer choices.

Anyone aged 17+ who lives in South Australia and has concerns about an intimate relationship can apply and concerned family members or friends can also apply on someone’s behalf.
